We all have our own unique interpretations, perceptions & perspectives that make us who we are. A set of sense making capabilities that are as unique to us as our very own fingerprints. They guide our decision making, inform our daily lives, and shape the very art that’s conjured up from the depths of our imaginations. It’s no wonder that two food critics can eat the same food & yet taste different flavours. That two painters can have the same subject, and yet arrive at two different interpretations. And that two music producers can have exactly the same separates, and arrive at two totally different remakes of a song.

Making music is undoubtedly an art. However, being able to successfully reinterpret a musical piece of work is an art form all of its own, requiring a totally different set of skills. Being able to add a distinctive fingerprint to an existing piece of work requires a producer to see beyond what is, to re-imagine new possibilities for a track, all while remaining true its essence by seamlessly meshing existing elements with new ones, to reveal a signature sound that’s unmistakable.

With so much work involved in the making of a remix, we don’t know why it’s often perceived to be the lesser of the art forms. All we know, is that some of our favourite house tunes just so happen to be remixes. And so, to celebrate the “remix”, we’ve decided to bring you five of our favourite remixes that we just can’t stop listening to over & over again. So why not sit back, relax, and relish the re-imagined sounds of these incredible remixes. Enjoy!
