Over the past year, we’ve featured quite a few house tracks. Deep house tracks, soulful house tracks, tech house tracks. Name the house genre, name the artist, & we’ve most likely had them on our Fresh Five Chart. Yep, we’ve surely heard a lot of house hits over the past few months. However, the problem with hits is that they have a tendency of fading from our minds ever so fast. For a moment, they occupy our every waking moment, giving us a melody to hum in the shower. Giving us a lyric to linger upon as we sit in the traffic. Giving us a chorus to sing along to in our work cubicles. Yeah, it’s a beautiful thing to have a house track stuck in your head. However as with all things these days it would seem, everything, even the once treasured house track is oh so easily replaced. What can we say, it’s life. These things happen.
However every now and again, it doesn’t hurt to go back and revisit a track that once brought so much joy to your life. It’s like picking up the phone and catching up with an old high school friend to reminiscing about the mischief you got up to. So, in the spirit of everything that is house music, we’ve put together some of our favorite no.1 tracks that we’ve featured on our Fresh Five Chart this year, in no particular order. So take time out, take a listen, and enjoy the walk down memory lane with some old friends.
