It’s no secret that we’ve been waiting for summer. The silly season in which we all throw caution to the wind. Release our inhibitions, and delight in the delicacies of life. Yeah we’ve been waiting for summer alright. For the sun, sand, sea and most importantly…the house music.
We don’t know what things are like in other parts of the world, but one thing we can tell you, is that South Africa in December is a house lovers dream. Not only does December mark the beginning of summer, but it also marks the beginning of the festive season. A time for “giving” as the television adverts so eloquently put it. And in our estimation of things, there’s possibly no greater gift, than the gift of house music.
And so after months of waiting. As if suddenly gifted by the Gods, we’re graced with an abundance of house music. Name a South African producer & they’ve most likely got a track out. Name a genre of house & you’re bound to hear it around town. And to add to the house hedonism of the season, a plethora of parties to partake in. Beach parties, street parties, rooftop parties, underground parties, all playing the freshest sounds. With house music fanning the festive fires, it truly is a summery sight to behold.
As we venture deeper into December, we ask but only a few things of you – That you bask in the freshest beats of the season. Get turnt at the hottest parties. And make this, a December to remember.
