Say the name Osunlade, and any house lover will attest to the fact that he is undoubtedly a legend within the genre. Perhaps most well known for his deeply spiritual approach to house music, Osunlade’s sound is undeniably distinctive. From his very particular productions, to his unique dress sense, he embodies his Yoruba beliefs to the core. Beliefs, that have given him a trademark of sorts in and amongst a plethora of house producers.
Having worked with the likes of Cesária Évora, Salif Keita & Roy Ayers but to name a few, and having gained popularity with the release of his solo album ‘Aquarian Moon’ and his string of hits which include his 2007 release ‘Reflections’, there’s absolutely no questioning Osunlade’s foothold within the house music fraternity.
Needless to say, we’re fans. Fans in every sense of the word. That’s why we’ve decided to celebrate his musical genius by sharing a few of his tunes both old & new that we absolutely love indulge in. Take a listen and enjoy.
