Martin Solveig And GTA Intoxicated, & More Of Our Favorite Retro Music Videos
So after his album Smash in 2011, and his 2013 release “Hey Now” with The Cataracs & Kyle, it would appear as though Martin Solveig pulled a bit of a disappearing act on us. Well, that is until now. Don’t believe us? Well then go to his Soundcloud page and see for yourself. Don’t worry, we’ll wait…yep, told you so! Needless to say Martin Solveig is back with GTA, and from the sounds of it, their latest single Intoxicated is gonna be big. So how would we best describe it? Well, it’s a playful house anthem with Martin Solveig’s touch and a tinge of retro.

These days, it seems like the only way forward is backwards. Ok, we know that sounds a bit confusing, so let’s break it down for you. It seems like producers are drawing a lot of their sonic and visual aesthetics from the 80’s & 90’s in the production of their songs & music videos. Whether it be synth melodies and drum kits that are directly synonymous with those periods, or colourful 80’s & 90’s clothing that imitate videos of that period, it would appear as though retro is the way to go these days. Look we’re not complaining cause in all honesty, we have absolutely nothing against the 80’s or 90’s. And to prove it to you, we’re bringing you a few blasts from the past. Enjoy Martin Solveig & GTA’s Intoxicated, & more of our favorite retro house music videos.
