What would the landscape of South African house music look like…or rather, what would it sound like without DJ Cleo? Well, pretty boring and one dimensional we guess. Ever since his first album Eskhaleni Vol 1 dropped, DJ Cleo has followed the rules, broken them, and changed them. Take a close listen to DJ Cleo’s sound & you’ll most probably agree with us that it’s undeniably South African. He’s taken the sound of the townships and made it his own. Converting countless people over to his brand of house music, all while managing to selling thousands of albums in the process.
