What Makes Classic House Tracks “Classic”
What makes a song stand out as a classic? Is it the fact that it perfectly encapsulates a period of time? The sentiments, the hopes, the dreams and aspirations of people & blah blah blah. Or is it the fact that it looks to the future, incorporating sounds, samples & techniques that leave us totally in awe?
We really don’t know what makes a song a classic house tune, however, we can tell you why we think these songs deserve to be considered classic house tracks…well, because they’re still damn hot! If we’re still able to play a track years later, and bump our heads to it as if it where the first time we were listening to it, then my friends, it deserves to be elevated to the status of a classic house track.
However perhaps more importantly, if we’re still able to play a house track years later & almost everybody bumps their heads to it as if it were the first time they were listening to it, then my friends, that’s how you know for sure that it deserves to be considered a classic house track.
